  7. An advanced 24-port serial I/O board for UNIX and XENIX operating systems at a
  8. lower cost than other 16-port boards. 12LD+12CS boards can connect 12 terminals
  9. and printers up to 3000 feet away at 38.4 Kbps along with built-in surge
  10. suppression and noise immunity, and another 12 terminals, printer and modems
  11. using conventional RS-232 signals. Using a proprietary high-performance
  12. RISC-type Intelligent Communications Processor, MEGAPORT boards can sustain
  13. continuous full duplex communications on all ports at 38.4 Kbps simultaneously
  14. while using less than .5 percent of the host CPU per port. The ``soft
  15. configuration'' design provides for a simple ``plug and play'' installation.
  16. The board can be combined with any other MEGAPORT and MEGAPLEX boards in the
  17. same system. A comprehensive selection of accessories provide compatibility
